Fills in some of the ancient back story on Tyrs Hammer and how it became the Brethren's home. Writing is well done, altho I'm not much on the supernatural parts of the saga. But those who suspend belief will enjoy. recommend.
I am so very involved with the Foreworld SideQuest concept that I look forward to another SideQuest almost monthly. There is action and compelling characters and subtle links to other stories and feeling of membership as with serial shows on television.

Recommended for anyone who enjoyed the Mongoliad, or any other of the Foreworld books.
Tyr's Hammer is short like the other SideQuests, but it is it's own complete story, and doesn't feel rushed. We follow the adventures of 2 members of the Military Order of the Virgin defender, on a specific quest for the OMVD. The tie-ins with Norse mythology contributes well to the story, and offers interesting insights into that mythos. I'll look for more stories by these authors.
I loved this story and with most of these Foreworld Sidequests, its way to short. This is about the second main home for the Shield-Brethren, that all by itself makes it interesting and a good ready. Anyway definitely worth reading if you're a fan of this order of knights.
